First, Abode Contractors will come out and inspect your roof for water, wind, and hail damage. If we find damage, we will give you a competitive quote, and assist in moving to the insurance process. If we find no damage, we will thank you for your time, and possibly assist you with a Gutter Cleaning.

Next, comes the insurance process. This process can be somewhat cumbersome, but rest easy knowing that Abode Contractors will assist in each step. Once we have filed a claim, we will then meet with the insurance adjustor on your behalf. If the insurance company finds there to be enough damage to cover the repair of your roof, we will the start the project.

Finally, we move to the roof repair. We will ensure that every step of the repair is done with your home and property in mind. This includes making sure your landscaping is protected, as well as removing any debris that may have accumulated.

The Repair Process

A normal roof consists of your main support layer of "decking", followed by a felt underlayment, and finally your shingles. Depending on the cause and extent of the damage, one or all three layers could be affected. A normal emergency home roof repair of all three layers go as follows:

Step 1- The shingles and affected areas spanning to the nearest roof rafters are removed, making sure that no unnecessary roof sections are removed.

Step 2- A new layer of support decking is secured in the affected area.

Step 3- A felt underlayment layer is secured over the newly placed decking.

Step 4- Shingles are placed back on to the newly repaired area, making sure it looks as much as the unaffected roof as possible.
